Shadowing/Internship Information

Exstrom Physical Therapy is an outpatient clinical facility that helps to educate Physical Therapy students from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Mayo School of Health Sciences as well as other Graduate Schools. For college or high school students interested in a career of Physical Therapy we also offer shadowing and internship experiences.

If you are interested in shadowing or interning for class credit or for experience at our clinic, give us a call. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know you more in depth and if the opportunity arises, some students who shadow or intern are often hired for a position as a Physical Therapy Tech.

Because patient care and attention is our top priority we ask that students who apply for a shadowing and interning experience be genuinely interested in the field of Physical Therapy. We look for individuals who are self-motivated, outgoing, fun and professional.

If you are interested in a shadow opportunity, internship or job at Exstrom Physical Therapy stop by our clinic and pick up an application or click below to fill out an our online application.

We typically start reviewing applications for Shadowing/Internships and Tech jobs in following months:

March/April for Summer starting mid-May
June/July for Fall Semester starting mid-August
November/December for Spring Semester starting mid-January
